PROFESSIONAL ACTION LEARNING COACH | PROCESS AND LEARNING FACILITATOR
Driven by his higher purpose of bringing out the best potential in others, Kok Hwa wears the hat of a trainer, coach and facilitator when working with organizations in the past 18 years.
Kok Hwa has trained and coached Action Learning teams in many organizations in both the public and private sectors across a wide range of industries to help them solve complex and strategic business challenges, while at the same time developing the individual, team and organization. He has led and participated in Action Learning Programs in Singapore and in the Asia Pacific region. He has conducted Action Learning programs to support Microsoft talent and leadership development programs for MBA hires, High Potentials, and Senior Leaders in both Singapore and Greater China Region.
His professional journey culminated in him achieving the distinction as the first Professional Action Learning Coach (PALC) outside of US. As a testimony of his active roles as an evangelist, practitioner, and mentor, he was awarded the WIAL International Coaching Excellence Award. The value that he delivers to his clients was also validated when his client, Thermo Fisher Scientific, was awarded the WIAL Best Application Award. After serving as a member in various WIAL committees for several years, he was appointed to sit on the WIAL Board of Directors, as the only Singaporean serving the global action learning community in a leadership capacity.
As a keen advocate of Action Learning, he is also frequently invited to share his experience and best practices at various forums, e.g., Adult Learning Symposium 2018 (Singapore), WIAL Asia Forum 2013 (Singapore), WIAL Asia Forum 2014 (Taiwan), as well as in organizations such as International Coaching Federation (ICF), Institute of Adult Learning (IAL), etc.
He is a licensed facilitator for “Foundations of Action Learning” and also “Leading with Questions” workshop developed by Professor Michael Marquardt. His curiosity to understand more about human resource optimization and workforce development also led him to becoming a Certified Consultant for the Workplace Big Five Personality Profiling Tool.
Kok Hwa has trained organizations in countries such as Singapore, China, Taiwan, and Thailand. Some organizations he has trained or coached include Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), Central Provident Fund Board (CPFB), Cambridge Associates, Dimension Data, Schneider Electric, Rohde & Schwarz, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Siemens, Abbvie, Ministry of Health Holdings (MOHH), Attorney General’s Chambers, Singapore Police Force, JTB Corporation, Junior Chamber International, etc.
